Nicolas Louvet

Founder and CEO

CEO and Founder of 6t, Nicolas is a political scientist (PhD from the National School of Bridges and Roads / ENPC). In addition to his work directing 6t for the past 15 years, he is a professor at Sciences Po Paris and an associate researcher at LaTTS / ENPC. Nicolas Louvet was deputy Head of the City, Environment and Transport studies Department at the ENPC From 2001 to 2005, and taught at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) from 2005 to 2015. From 2012 to 2015, he sat on the editorial committee for the City Observatory. Nicolas Louvet’s work focuses on interactions between uses, networks, institutions and territories and aims at identifying operational solutions to optimize the uses of existing transport offers. Recognized expert in public policy, he has worked in France and abroad on the uses and users of niche mobility services, on the business models of new mobility services (car sharing, self-service bicycles, carpooling, electrical vehicles, ridehailing, etc) as well as on building methodologies aimed at measuring and inducing behavior change.
