A study conducted by 6t-bureau de recherche and disseminated by Ofo and Mobike to their users.
In twenty years, upward thirty cities – 33 cities currently – have launched a station- based bikesharing system in France which represents almost 50 000 shared bikes spread over the whole territory. Dockless bikes services raise issues regarding the use of public space and the competition with traditional systems built on docking stations. Yet, no study has been carried out about the impact of these offers on the mobility ecosystem.
This study aims at addressing the following stakes :
- Who are the users of dockless bikes ?
- What are the characteristics of trips by dockless bikes ?
- What are the impacts of dockless bikes services on the mobility of their users ?
