Spatial and temporal accessibility of Geneva’s car parks

The Canton of Geneva is redefining its strategy for allocating the parking spaces available on its territory. This involved analysing the spatiotemporal accessibility of these car parks, according to different modes of transport. To meet this need, 6t proposed a territorial analysis method based on the isochrones associated with each parking facility, according to the mode of transport. The mapping of the spatiotemporal accessibility of the forty or so parking facilities according to car or public transport use provided a rigorous tool to assist in the decision-making and design of this allocation strategy.
