Analysis of the needs of electric vehicle charging points, in a context of regulated automobility

The Rouen Normandy Metropolitan Area aims to become a leader in multimodal and low-carbon mobility, of which electromobility is an essential component. Since 2010, the Metropolitan Area has been supporting electromobility with the support of the Normandy Region and ADEME. This policy was organized around two main measures: the attribution of free parking for electric vehicles and the installation of charging points in public spaces. The installation of public charging stations must be designed in interaction with private charging. Currently, 90% of recharges are made at home or at the workplace, but charging point networks open to the public are necessary for the future growth of electromobility because they can cover specific needs.

The Rouen Normandy Metropolitan Area wishes to be assisted in the pursuit of this second policy in the coming years. In this context, 6t carries out a three-part mission: a competitive and technological analysis, a prospective study of charging point needs and assistance on the optimal pricing strategies in the territory.
