Master plan for active mobility : Facilitation of workshops

The Active Mobility Master Plan (SDMA) of the Metropolis of Rouen Normandy, whose approval is scheduled for the start of the 2019 academic year, is part of a major strategic objective: to develop a “peaceful” metropolis, in particular by encouraging walking and cycling in everyday travel throughout the metropolitan area. In line with national ambitions, the city hopes to achieve a modal share of cycling of 6.5% in Rouen intra-boulevards and 3% in the rest of the metropolitan area by 2024, a threefold increase compared to the current situation. The Metropolis of Rouen Normandy also aims to consolidate walking.

In order to share, but also to enrich the reflections carried out around the development of the SDMA, the Metropolis of Rouen Normandy has entrusted 6t-bureau de recherche with the running of workshops with the elected representatives of 4 local centres on the territory of the Metropolis. These workshops follow on other work seminars in which the technical managers of the proximity clusters took part in June 2018. The workshops mainly concern the themes of the “development and public space” section of the SDMA.
