Monitoring of carpooling in the Lake Geneva area

As part of a Franco-Swiss Interreg project, the Groupement Local de Coopération Transfrontalière (GLCT) wanted to develop a tool for monitoring car-pooling practices in the Greater Geneva metropolitan area. The aim was therefore to establish the importance and the characteristics of car-pooling practices and to monitor their development over the next few years in order to influence them by encouraging car-pooling.

In order to achieve this ambition, the GLCT asked 6t to assist it in this process. The approach therefore consisted of 2 parts. Firstly, the establishment of a monitoring concept based on a limited number of indicators that can be regularly updated to allow precise monitoring. Secondly, the analysis of these data in order to draw the strategic lessons necessary to guide the GLTC’s incentives.
