Analysis of opinions collected in the frame of a consultation about the expansion of the Paris reduced traffic zone

As part of the Reduced Traffic Zone (ZCR) introduced in September 2015, Paris is continuing its fight against air pollution by expanding the list of vehicles concerned. As required by legislation, the City of Paris organised a public consultation from 11 April to 6 May 2019 on the extension of the ban on traffic in intramural Paris to Crit’air 4 vehicles, as well as Crit’air 5 and unclassified vehicles concerning the ring road and the Bois de Boulogne and Bois de Vincennes. Individuals could contribute online on the idee.paris website, by mail and on the consultation registers made available for this purpose in the town halls.

6t carried out the analysis of the contributions to the consultation. Initially, an analysis grid mapping the themes and tone of the opinions expressed in the opinions was drawn up. The contributions were then sorted and analysed according to this grid, which made it possible to quantify the positions held concerning the extension of the ZCR.
