Overview of the productions carried out within the framework of the Rouen Normandy Autonomous Lab

An on-demand transit service operated with autonomous vehicles is currently being tested on the territory of Rouen. The project, entitled Rouen Normandy Autonomous Lab, involves many players (car manufacturer, transport operator, local authority, public institutions, etc.), each of which generates a rich literature aiming at evaluating and documenting the experiment. To date, no work on pooling these different productions has been formalised.

This study synthesizes the documents produced by the different actors of the project, so that they have a common understanding of the knowledge accumulated during these last years of experimentation. It identifies the methods implemented and the main results, but also aims to serve as a basis for the development of a common vision and strategy for all the actors of the project. It gives rise to initial proposals to formalise shared orientations for the coming years, as well as methods to be implemented to ensure that the experimentation continues to be fruitful for all stakeholders.
