Place of the car in the MaaS systems : political and societal trends

Renault wishes to better understand the global societal and political trends behind the development of Mobility as a Service, or MaaS. Through a scientific literature review, a benchmark and expert interviews, this study analyses the different definitions behind the far-reaching concept of ‘MaaS’, identifies key demand trends (societal dynamics), offer trends (market dynamics) and regulation trends (political dynamics). The study concludes by defining a typology of political, business and societal stances towards MaaS for different wide geographic zones.
